Following up the summer schools, the optional courses for PhD students on ‘The Precautionary Principle in the Context of Sustainability Transitions’ and ‘Application of Nature-Based Solutions for Sustainable Urban Development’ were held at Odessa State Environmental University from 03 to 14 December 2018.

On 3 December 2018, an introductory lecture by Dr. Anton Shkaruba from Estonian University of Life Sciences gave start to the PhD courses. The lecture being organized in the Skype mode included discussion among the students on specific issues. Dr. Shkaruba introduced the PhD students to the basic notions of the Precautionary Principle in science and the examples of its application, as well as the topics of the summer schools under the project of 586471-EPP-1-2017-1-EE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.
