Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) is a public university directly under Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Established by the Prime Minister in 19 August 2011 but has more than 35 year of experienced College. Has more than 8,500 students at three levels: Bachelor, College and working students; Graduate (2016); international Graduate Program on 2015. Here are more than 300 lectures and researchers. University has a direct link to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and therefore, strongly collaboration with organization at central level and related Ministries.
Main research project: Decision support system on land and water resources management response to climate change impacts (2013-2015); Master plan for climate change mitigation and response measurement in some provinces; Pushing up Renewable energy investment projects in Vietnam focus on bio-energy; Master plan on biomass energy for provincial level; Impacts of water regulation regime on biodiversity of U Minh Thuong peat forest; Impacts of embankments on pesticide residues in soil and water environment in the flooding rice cultivation areas.
