Open Science Conference ‘Smart Green & Smart Blue: exploring nature-based solutions and ecosystem services approaches in environmental management, planning & policy’ took place in Lviv, Ukraine, on 7 – 9 November 2019.
On 23-26 September 2019 the INTENSE Coordination unit had arranged a monitoring visit to Khovd University in Mongolia (including meetings with academic and supporting staff, administration, students and external stakeholders, detailed inspection of university facilities and so on), and this also has been used as an occasion for rounds of consultations on project-related matters, a research seminar, discussions and preparations for possible follow-up activities.
Open lecture on the topic ‘Governance and management of a nuclear disaster: Belarus during and after the Chernobyl accident’ was given by Anton Shkaruba on 25 September 2019 at the National University of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.
The summer school ‘WIN! Water Innovations: Policy, Management, Research’ was held at the University of Tartu (Estonia), 11-24 August 2019. The faculty comprised the experts from the Austria, Estonia, Hungary and Latvia.
